Concealment - Hidden in plain sight

Most of us move through life striving to please others, chasing accomplishments that hold little meaning for us; pursuits chosen more for societal approval than personal fulfillment.

In this work, the balloons symbolize celebration. They represent achievements, recognition, and the applause of others. Yet, like a veil, they conceal the subject’s true identity.

The model’s subdued expression reflects the quiet sorrow of many individuals; what remains when the applause fades, when the balloons of past celebrations drift away. Beneath the weight of achievement lies a self still longing to be seen.

This piece serves as both a reflection and a reminder: to strip away the masks of approval, to honor who we truly are, and to choose paths that align with love, passion, and authenticity.
